Denny

Dennis J Curnyn, PT MA AT

Denny grew up in Omaha, NE and received his BS in biology and his MS in athletic training at Western Michigan University. He worked as an athletic trainer for Western Michigan University prior to attending physical therapy school and receiving his second BS in physical therapy from Grand Valley State University. After completing an internship in Texas during his physical therapy schooling he decided that Texas was really where he wanted to be and relocated to Fort Worth. He fell in love with Fort Worth and decided that this was where he wanted to start his own clinic. After working in a corporate environment for a few years he developed a passion for creating a physical therapist owned clinic in Fort Worth believing that it creates an ideal environment for both the therapist and the patient. He established Curnyn Physical Therapy (called Sportcare Physical Therapy at the time) in 1991 as a result of that goal. Curnyn Physical Therapy is the longest standing physical therapist owned clinic in Fort Worth.

Denny loves outpatient orthopedics and believes that an ideal balance of manual therapy, modality care, and exercise is the best way to achieve long lasting results. He has received extensive continuing education focusing on ideal combinations to speed recovery time and optimum results. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, golfing, golfing, spending time with his wife of 19 years and his four teenagers, as well as a long time Huskers fan.
