Denny

Denny,
Dennis J. Curnyn, PT, MA, AT

Denny grew up in Omaha, NE and received his BS in biology and his MA in athletic training at Western Michigan University. He worked as an athletic trainer for Western Michigan University prior to attending physical therapy school and receiving his second BS in physical therapy from Grand Valley State University. After completing an internship in Texas during his physical therapy schooling he decided that Texas was really where he wanted to be and relocated to Fort Worth. He fell in love with Fort Worth and decided that this was where he wanted to start his own clinic. After working in a corporate environment for a few years he developed a passion for creating a physical therapist owned clinic in Fort Worth believing that it creates an ideal environment for both the therapist and the patient. He established Curnyn Physical Therapy (called Sportcare Physical Therapy at the time) in 1991 as a result of that goal, which is now the longest standing physical therapist owned clinic in Fort Worth.

Denny loves outpatient orthopedics and believes that an ideal balance of manual therapy, modality care, and exercise is the best way to achieve long lasting results. He has received extensive continuing education focusing on ideal combinations to speed recovery time and optimum results. In his spare time he enjoys golfing, golfing, golfing, spending time with his wife of 25 years and his three children, and he is also a long time Huskers fan.

Cecily

Cecily,
Cecily J Curnyn, VP

Cecily is a proud native Texan and has always lived in the DFW area. Her first experience with the medical field was during a college job as a medical transcriptionist while working on her accounting degree at UTA. This eventually led to meeting and marrying Denny while working at a clinic in Fort Worth. Her love for entrepreneurship combined with her accounting background inspired her to create the framework for Denny to start his own practice.

In 1990, they opened what was then Sportcare Physical Therapy, which is now known as Curnyn Physical Therapy. Cecily is the owner and office manager for Curnyn Physical Therapy. She considers her primary responsibility in the clinic ensuring that all patients receive outstanding care from the therapy and support staff. Cecily's goal is, and always has been, to provide unsurpassed service with unmatched results for both our patients and referring physicians.

When not working, she and Denny enjoy spending time with their three children. Cecily also loves golfing, reading, and watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Dallas Stars

Courtney

Courtney,
Courtney E. Ludwig, Scheduling Coordinator/Office Manager

Courtney began working with the Curnyn Physical Therapy team in late August of 2015.  After spending some time working both in the gym as a tech and working the front desk, she eventually moved to the front office full time. Her knowledge she gained from the gym makes her exceptionally qualified to help patients. She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas at Arlington in May of 2014.  Since then, she has lived in Fort Worth and enjoys the activities the city has to offer.

When not at work, she likes to pursue an active lifestyle by camping, going to the gym, and watching Cowboys football.

Nolan

Nolan,
Nolan T. Curnyn, Marketing/Physician Relations/Recruiting

Nolan is the oldest son of Denny and Cecily Curnyn and grew up right here in Fort Worth. He was a tech in the gym for different segments of 2005 to 2011. He worked several different jobs over the next few years, but wasn’t finding exactly what he was looking for. In the summer of 2015 he came back to the clinic, but this time instead of being a tech he took over marketing and physician relations. Nolan is an avid golfer who tries to play at least once a week.

Nolan is also a huge sports fan and a supporter of all local teams, with the Stars and Cowboys being his favorites. He is delighted to be back in the family business and excited to spread the word about how important quality patient care is to the clinic.
